Purpose of the job:
Expand the company's client portfolio in Egypt by promoting energy storage solutions (ESS) to industrial clients, commercial facilities, farms, telecom operators, solar installers, and end-user project owners across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The role involves technical sales, relationship management, market intelligence, and ensuring successful project execution from lead generation to deal closure. This position requires deep technical knowledge in renewable energy systems, and energy storage technologies, including UPS systems, solar solutions, inverters, and battery systems. The engineer will bridge technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive sales growth and deliver tailored energy solutions that meet client needs.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Sales Activities & Target Achievement:
Execute daily sales activities to achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets for ESS products across all market segments. Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach including cold calling, industry networking, customer referrals, and strategic market targeting. Conduct on-site customer visits to deliver product demonstrations, technical assessments and sales presentations that address specific customer requirements. 2. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary technical and commercial contact for all customer inquiries related to ESS, backup systems, and energy solutions. Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients in sectors such as industrial facilities, farms, commercial buildings, telecom, and solar integrators. Support customers through the complete sales journey from initial needs assessment and technical consultation through proposal evaluation, commercial negotiation and deal closure. Implement structured follow-up processes to advance opportunities through the sales pipeline, address customer concerns, and strengthen ongoing client partnerships throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Market & Technical Understanding:
Apply expertise in energy storage technologies including batteries, UPS systems, solar installations, inverters, and backup power solutions to develop solutions that meet customer
Understand client needs and propose tailored ESS solutions that reduce OPEX, enhance reliability, and cost-effective diesel generator replacement.
4. Market Feedback & Data Collection:
Conduct ongoing market research to identify emerging opportunities, evolving customer needs, and new application areas for energy storage solutions. Collect and document customer feedback on product performance, pricing competitiveness, and feature requirements to inform internal decision-making. Monitor competitor activities including product offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to maintain competitive awareness. Track industry trends including regulatory developments, technology advancements, and policy changes affecting the energy storage and renewable energy sectors in Egypt. Provide actionable recommendations to product development, engineering, and management teams based on field intelligence to support strategic planning and product improvements
. 5. Collaboration & Reporting:
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance departments to ensure proposal accuracy, efficient order processing, and successful project implementation. Deliver regular reports including sales forecasts, pipeline analysis, and strategic market insights on weekly and monthly schedules to management. Represent the company at industry exhibitions, renewable energy trade shows, and networking events to build brand presence and generate qualified leads as required
Education
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Power, Electronics, Control Systems) or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in technical or industrial sales within one or more of the following:
Energy storage systems (residential, commercial, or industrial applications)
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)systems and backup power solutions
Solar photovoltaic systems and renewable energy products
Power electronics including inverters, converters, and power management equipment
Industrial electrical equipment or power distribution solutions Strong experience selling to solar installers, distributors, SMEs, industrial clients, and facility owners, with a proven ability to exceed sales targets.
