Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Foodservice Sales Representative (Wholesale) is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding product distribution across wholesale foodservice channel. This role focuses on developing and managing wholesale accounts, negotiating supply agreements, executing go-to-market strategies, and achieving volume and revenue targets. The position requires strong commercial acumen, deep market knowledge of the foodservice wholesale landscape, and the ability to build lasting business partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Execution:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned wholesale foodservice accounts.
  • Execute trade promotional activities and volume-based incentive programs, monitoring compliance with agreed commercial terms.
  • Maintain accurate pricing structures and ensure alignment with approved wholesale price lists and margins.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in wholesale foodservice accounts.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
  • Negotiate supply agreements, pricing, and volume contracts to maximize profitability and long-term partnership value.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all account-related matters.

Product Placement & Portfolio Development

  • Work with wholesale customers to drive product listings, placements, and volume commitments across their distribution networks.
  • Provide product knowledge and training to purchasing managers, procurement teams, and end-user operators within the wholesale channel.
  • Identify and pursue new product introductions and opportunities based on wholesale market trends and customer demand.

Inventory & Supply Chain Alignment

  • Communicate customer demand and forecast requirements to the supply chain team to ensure timely product availability.
  • Share insights on upcoming promotions, seasonal trends, and large orders to help plan inventory effectively.
  • Coordinate with logistics to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any supply-related issues impacting customer satisfaction.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare daily and weekly sales reports for management review.
  • Track trade promotional performance and volume incentive outcomes, recommending improvements based on data analysis.
  • Provide feedback on competitor activities and market trends.

EDUCTION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 35 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in foodservice wholesale or distribution channels.
  • Excellent command of English and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Valid Kuwaiti driving license.
