We're Hiring: Presales Security Engineer. We are seeking a Presales Engineer to support bid and sales activities in Physical Security and Telecommunications, delivering compliant and cost-effective solutions.
About the Role
The Presales Engineer analyzes RFPs, designs technical solutions, prepares techno-commercial proposals, and ensures compliance with client requirements. This role involves vendor management, internal coordination, and technical engagement with customers to support sales and bid management activities. He works closely with sales, procurement, and project teams to deliver optimized solutions in Physical Security and Telecommunications.
Responsibilities
- RFP Analysis & Solution Development
- Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents for technical and commercial requirements.
- Develop cost-effective, compliant HCIS and non-HCIS Security and Telecom Solutions, including CCTV, Access Control, IDS, Perimeter Security, PSIM, Command & Control, and Telecom.
- Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility.
- Proposal Preparation & Documentation
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, including BOQs, compliance matrices, pricing, and technical documents.
- Design technical schematics and solution architecture as required using tools such as AutoCAD and Visio.
- Ensure proposals align with client requirements, budgets, and regulations.
- Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Identify and negotiate with OEMs, distributors, channel partners, and subcontractors.
- Evaluate vendor quotations to optimize BOM.
- Maintain vendor relationships to stay updated on technology and pricing.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination
- Work closely with sales, procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure proposal alignment.
- Ensure cost accuracy with design and estimation teams.
- Support contract review and compliance.
- Client Engagement & Technical Presentations
- Attend pre-bid meetings and technical discussions with clients and consultants.
- Provide technical clarifications and justifications.
- Support product demonstrations and proof of concept activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 5–7 years in presales, bid management, or solution engineering in Security System and Telecom System.
- Preferred: Experience with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and Maa'den projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Video Management Systems, Intrusion Detection, ANPR, UVIS, PSIM, Radio, WLAN, and related security and telecom solutions.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, and design software for technical schematics.
- Familiarity with security system standards such as ONVIF, HCIS, SAES, MOI, SAMA, and other relevant regulations.
- Ability to prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and compliance documents.
