Role overview:

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve targets, expand customer accounts, and ensure flawless execution of sales strategies within the assigned territory. The role requires strong leadership, deep market understanding, and the ability to drive performance while maintaining excellent relationships with key accounts in the fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets, KPIs, and business objectives.
  • Monitor product performance across key accounts to ensure optimal shelf placement, visibility, and adherence to planograms.
  • Oversee daily field operations, ensuring route compliance and proper market execution.
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and act as the main escalation point for customer issues.
  • Coordinate with retail partners to ensure continuous product availability and timely replenishment.
  • Analyse sales reports, market insights, and competitor activity to support effective decision-making.
  • Collaborate with marketing and trade marketing teams to implement promotions, activations, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Conduct regular market visits to evaluate execution quality, coach field staff, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, proper documentation, and alignment with company sales policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of FMCG sales experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-leading role.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and able to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
