Job Description

Equiti is a pioneering fintech firm and world-class provider of multi-asset fintech products - from liquidity solutions to in-house tech hubs to online trading platforms. With over 400 global specialists in 9 languages, Equiti provides clients with access to individual, professional, and institutional brokerage services in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

At Equiti, we believe that financial opportunities can unlock potential for everyone, everywhere. We're on a mission to deliver accessible online trading products around the world through education and accessibility.

Think finance is stuffy Think again.

We see Equiti as a new breed of broker, and we are looking for talented people who can excel in a dynamic, innovative environment. Our Operational Ecosystem department would like to welcome an accomplished Salesforce technical leader who remains close to delivery and the code.

Salesforce Architect in our office in Bangalore

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Salesforce Architect who can move fluently from macro to micro and back again: shaping platform strategy and solution architecture, then working directly in our codebase to validate designs, resolve complex issues, and deliver critical components. This is not a Salesforce Administrator or primarily people-management role. You will own technical direction across the Salesforce platform (SFDC), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Agentforce, and Einstein, and share implementation responsibility with Salesforce Developer(s).

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly develop a deep working understanding of our existing Salesforce codebase, metadata, integrations, release practices, and technical debt, and use that knowledge to guide architecture and delivery.
  • Own the end-to-end Salesforce architecture and technical roadmap, ensuring that platform decisions support business priorities, scale, security, maintainability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Remain hands-on with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Flow, configuration, and platform tooling; prototype solutions and implement complex or business-critical changes.
  • Lead solution design from discovery through production, translating business needs into clear technical designs, delivery plans, and implementation decisions.
  • Establish and enforce engineering guardrails for data models, sharing and security, integrations, performance, governor limits, observability, and reusable development patterns.
  • Design cohesive solutions across SFDC and SFMC, including reliable data flows, customer journeys, consent and preference handling, event-driven integrations, and clear system boundaries.
  • Architect and improve capabilities across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud, including sales processes, case management, routing, knowledge, automation, external identity, customer and partner portals, sharing models, and service operations.
  • Define Agentforce and Einstein use cases and address data readiness, grounding, access controls, trust, human hand-offs, monitoring, and measurable outcomes.
  • Review code, configuration, and solution designs; provide actionable feedback and own engineering quality rather than operating only at the presentation or governance layer.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production, integration, data, and performance issues by tracing business impact through architecture, logs, metadata, and code.
  • Define integration strategies using APIs, events, middleware, and appropriate patterns to connect Salesforce securely and reliably with enterprise systems.
  • Improve source control, automated testing, CI/CD, environment management, release governance, and deployment practices to enable safe, frequent delivery.
  • Communicate architectural options, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Set technical direction for Salesforce Developer(s), convert solution designs into executable work, resolve difficult implementation problems, and contribute code for complex or business-critical changes.
  • Act as the senior technical authority for Salesforce while remaining an active member of the delivery team; this role is centered on architecture and engineering, not Salesforce administration or line management.
  • Define coding standards, review designs and code, document architectural decisions, and coach Salesforce Developer(s) on platform patterns and technical trade-offs.
  • Define technical requirements, system boundaries, dependencies, and acceptance criteria with product, operations, marketing, sales, service, security, data, and integration teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong architectural judgment combined with the technical depth to inspect, challenge, debug, and improve an existing production codebase.
  • Ability to switch between enterprise-level strategy and detailed implementation without losing sight of business outcomes or engineering quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Pragmatic approach to balancing platform capability, custom development, delivery speed, risk, and long-term maintainability.
  • Comfort working in an agile environment, managing competing priorities, and making sound decisions with incomplete information.

Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of Salesforce engineering experience, including significant hands-on development and ownership of architecture for complex, business-critical implementations.
  • Strong Salesforce platform (SFDC) experience and practical familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), with delivery experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Flow, asynchronous processing, testing, debugging, and Salesforce development tooling. Visualforce experience is useful for supporting legacy code.
  • Experience designing Salesforce data models, security and sharing, automation, integrations, and scalable solutions within platform limits.
  • Experience with Agentforce and Einstein capabilities, or demonstrable experience delivering comparable AI-enabled Salesforce solutions with appropriate trust, security, and operational controls.
  • Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events or other event-driven patterns, and middleware or integration platforms such as MuleSoft.
  • Strong experience with Git-based development, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, environment strategy, and controlled Salesforce releases.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or another regulated environment is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, Technical Architect, or relevant cloud certifications are highly preferred.
