We are currently hiring a SAP MM /EWM Consultant on behalf of a prestigious client, based in their Dubai office.
Job Purpose:
- The SAP MM / EWM Consultant will serve as the internal solution owner for procurement, inventory, and warehouse management processes in Cummins Arabia's SAP S/4HANA program. The role is responsible for owning business requirements, validating SI solution designs, and ensuring endtoend procurement and warehouse processes are aligned with operational needs, internal controls, and SAP best practices. The consultant will act as the key liaison between business teams and the SI to ensure accurate and scalable solution delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Implementation
- Own and govern SAP MM/EWM solution design and validate SI delivery against approved business requirements.
- Review, validate, and approve SAP MM solution designs and configurations delivered by SI, including:
- Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), Goods Receipt (GR), Invoice Verification (IR)
- Subcontracting, Consignment, Stock Transfers, and Service Procurement
- Material Master and Vendor Master Data Management
- Review, validate, and approve SAP EWM solution designs and configurations delivered by SI, including:
Inbound and outbound warehouse processes
Put away and picking strategies
Warehouse structure, storage types, and storage bins
Handling Units (HU), batch management, and serial number tracking
Physical inventory, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation
Warehouse Task and Warehouse Order Management
- Review and validate interface designs and enhancement approaches proposed by SI for MM and EWM processes.
- Ensure integration with SAP modules such as SD, FICO, PP, PS, QM, PM, TM, and MM/EWM embedded processes.
Business Process Alignment
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, warehouse, and logistics teams to understand operational needs and translate them into approved SAP business requirements and validate SI solution alignment.
- Own procurement, inventory, and warehouse business requirements and ensure no gaps between business expectations and SI solution design.
- Support direct and indirect procurement, inventory valuation, stock management, and warehouse execution processes.
- Enable RF device integration, barcode scanning, and warehouse automation where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, preferred supplier agreements, long-term contracts, inventory accuracy, and warehouse KPIs.
Project Execution & Support
- Work closely with SI, validate the SI deliverables and provide sign off for further phase to start. Act as phaseexit gatekeeper for MM and EWM scope.
- Participate in SAP Activate methodology phases: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run.
- Own warehouse and procurement business scenario validation and formally accept SI testing outcomes.
- Provide post-implementation support and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 7 -10 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM and/or SAP EWM implementation and support.
- Strong understanding of procurement cycles, inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics processes.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Embedded EWM is highly preferred.
- SAP MM and/or SAP EWM certification is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in SAP MM and SAP EWM configuration and cross-module integration.
- Sound understanding of end-to-end supply chain and warehouse execution processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-location teams.
- Familiarity with VAT/ e-invoicing, import/export processes, warehouse automation, RF technologies, and real-time inventory tracking.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, project-based, or distribution center environments.
- Exposure to high-volume warehouse operations and logistics optimization.
- Understanding of procurement and warehouse analytics, reporting, and operational performance metrics.
