Your new role

  • Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead all ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives) and ensure they are time-boxed and outcome-oriented.
  • Agile Coaching: Mentor the squad on Agile principles and Scrum values to foster a culture of ownership and self-organization.
  • Backlog Management: Partner with Product Owners and BAs to improve backlog health, story slicing, and clear Definitions of Ready/Done.
  • Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and remove blockers, manage the RAID log, and maintain discipline in closing action items.
  • Drive Transparency: Use metrics and dashboards (velocity, cycle time, CFD) to identify improvement actions and report on progress.
  • Coordinate Dependencies: Align with onshore stakeholders, vendors, and other squads to manage integration checkpoints and communication cadence.
  • Support Release Readiness: Facilitate demos, UAT coordination, and readiness checklists with QA and Release Managers.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience: 10+ years overall experience with 5+ years as a dedicated Scrum Master facilitating Agile delivery.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (Boards) or similar tools for sprint planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Agile Maturity: Strong coaching skills to improve Scrum values and resolve conflicts within a squad.
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills (business, product, and engineering) in an onshore environment.
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in Retail Banking or Digital channels (payments, onboarding/KYC, cards, servicing) is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: PSM I/II or CSM preferred; SAFe SSM/RTE exposure or ITIL awareness is a plus.
  • Location: Candidates must be currently based in the UAE.
