Egypt Day Trips (egyptdaytrips.com) is Minova's flagship B2C website a curated online platform showcasing expertly guided single-day excursions departing from Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Hurghada. The site targets high-intent international travelers searching for Egypt's iconic historical experiences, and organic search is its primary acquisition channel.
We are now hiring a dedicated SEO Specialist to own and grow the organic performance of Egypt Day Trips building it into the leading authority for Egypt day tour searches globally.
The Role
As SEO Specialist for Egypt Day Trips, you will be responsible for the full SEO strategy and execution of the website from technical foundations and on-page optimization to content creation and authority building. You will work closely with Minova's management team and report directly to the company's digital lead.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will not only plan but actively build writing content, implementing schema, running audits, and tracking performance week over week. A deep interest in Egypt travel and history is a genuine advantage in this role.
What You Will Do
Technical SEO
Conduct regular technical audits using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/SEMrush
Identify and resolve crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and site speed issues
Implement and maintain structured data / schema markup: TravelAgency, TouristTrip, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, and Review schemas
Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, and hreflang for international targeting
Monitor Google algorithm updates and proactively adapt the site's SEO posture
On-Page & Content SEO
Perform keyword research focused on Egypt day tours, excursions, and historical site queries across US, UK, EU, and Australian markets
Write and optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, H1s, and page content with strong E-E-A-T signals
Build and maintain a content silo architecture across destination, tour type, and departure city pages
Create new SEO-optimized tour pages, destination guides, and travel blog content
Develop and optimize country-specific landing pages targeting key source markets
Off-Page & Authority Building
Plan and execute link-building outreach targeting Egypt travel blogs, tour directories, and travel media
Build digital PR opportunities around Egypt travel content and seasonal campaigns
Monitor and disavow toxic backlinks; manage the site's link profile health
Reporting & Analytics
Track rankings, organic traffic, CTR, and conversions via GSC and GA4
Deliver weekly/monthly SEO performance reports with clear insights and next actions
Identify high-opportunity underperforming pages and prioritize optimization accordingly
What We Are Looking For
Required
2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within travel, tourism, or hospitality
Proven command of Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4
Solid understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy
Experience with WordPress CMS and basic HTML/CSS for SEO-level edits
Familiarity with schema markup implementation for travel or e-commerce sites
Strong written English able to write and edit compelling, SEO-optimized travel content
Analytical mindset comfortable interpreting data and translating it into action
Nice to Have
Genuine interest in or knowledge of Egypt's history, landmarks, and travel geography
Experience with Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog
Familiarity with international SEO (hreflang, geo-targeting, multi-market keyword research)
Exposure to AI-assisted SEO workflows or content automation tools
Understanding of Core Web Vitals and page experience optimization
