Role Overview

We are seeking a Seller Operations Manager to support the development and execution of seller operations for Dubai Mall Online. This role will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day seller operations, delivering strong seller support, and driving operational excellence across the marketplace. The candidate will oversee seller onboarding, operational performance monitoring, issue resolution, and process optimization to ensure sellers operate efficiently while meeting Dubai Mall Online's premium service standards.

As part of the founding operations team, this role will contribute to building scalable seller processes, improving seller experience, and enabling marketplace growth from launch through scale.

What you'll do

Seller Operations Management

  • Manage day-to-day seller operations to ensure smooth marketplace functioning and operational consistency.
  • Support the execution of seller operations strategy aligned with Dubai Mall Online's marketplace objectives.
  • Ensure sellers meet operational standards related to fulfillment, catalog quality, and service performance.
  • Act as a key operational point of contact for seller-related matters.

Seller Support & Relationship Management

  • Oversee resolution of seller inquiries and operational issues with timely and effective communication.
  • Build strong working relationships with marketplace sellers to understand operational challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and operational support to help sellers succeed on the platform.
  • Escalate complex seller issues and drive cross-functional resolution.

Process Optimization & Operational Excellence

  • Analyze existing workflows to identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Implement best practices and scalable processes to enhance seller experience and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and operational playbooks for seller lifecycle management.
  • Support automation and tooling improvements in collaboration with product and tech teams.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and monitor seller operations KPIs including onboarding timelines, issue resolution, and operational compliance metrics.
  • Prepare regular performance reports highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Use operational data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with commercial, product, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless seller and customer experience.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving marketplace performance and scalability.
  • Participate in operational projects related to marketplace launches and enhancements.

Training & Capability Development

  • Support development and delivery of training programs for sellers and internal teams on marketplace operations and tools.
  • Enable sellers with operational best practices to improve performance and compliance.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement within the operations team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in Ecommerce Operations, Marketplace Operations, Seller Operations, or Merchant Operations roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams or leading operational initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce marketplace operations including seller onboarding, performance management, and support workflows.
  • Experience improving operational processes and driving efficiency in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, logistics, and customer experience teams.
