Senior Accountant Contracting / Real Estate Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a contracting company and/or real estate development firm. The role involves managing project-based accounting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

- Salary Up to AED 13,000
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards
- Handle project-wise accounting for contracting and development projects
- Manage cost control, budgeting, and job costing for multiple projects
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor contracts, progress billing, variations, and retention amounts
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Manage subcontractor, supplier, and consultant payments
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor project cash requirements
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, etc.)
- Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Provide financial analysis and reports to management
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a contracting company or real estate developer
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition
- Experience handling construction contracts and development project finances
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Solid understanding of financial controls and statutory compliance
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
