Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, supporting month-end close, preparing management reports, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and financial control activities. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, accruals, prepayments, loans, and leases.
- Lead and actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and variance analyses.
- Support the development of budgets and forecasts and monitor actual performance against plans.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits and act as a key point of contact for auditors.
- Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Utilize advanced Excel tools to enhance reporting efficiency and financial analysis.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and decision-making.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong accounting knowledge across all areas (A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets, prepayments, accruals, loans, leases, etc.).
- Proven experience in month-end closing and management reporting.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong communication skills with full professional proficiency in English.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree and/or professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
- Advanced data and reporting skills (Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot).
- Experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
