Senior Accountant | Financial Services (Insurance) | Full-Time | Hybrid
We are a trusted recruitment partner working with established organizations in the financial services sector. On behalf of a reputable insurance company, we are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support core accounting and financial reporting activities.
This is a full-time hybrid role, combining on-site presence with flexible remote work.
About the Role
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end closing activities within an insurance environment. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across finance, actuarial, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
- Handle insurance-related accounting transactions, including premiums, claims, and reserves
- Collaborate with internal audit, external auditors, and finance stakeholders
- Analyze financial data and support variance analysis
- Assist in process improvements and accounting automation initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 47 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
- Previous experience within insurance or financial services is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Fluency in English is required
