Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing all accounting operations of the company, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with Saudi financial regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making.
The role requires strong experience in interior fit-out / contracting companies, including project accounting, cost control, and contract financial management.
A key responsibility is to lead the implementation and optimization of the Odoo ERP system, ensuring integration of accounting, procurement, inventory, project costing, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & Accounting Operations
- Manage the full accounting cycle including AP, AR, GL, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and Saudi ZATCA regulations.
- Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records.
2. Project Accounting (Fit-Out / Contracting)
- Monitor project financial performance and cost tracking.
- Manage job costing and project profitability analysis.
- Track project budgets, variations, and change orders.
- Coordinate with estimation, procurement, and project management teams to control costs.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition based on project progress (percentage of completion method).
3. ERP Implementation Odoo
- Lead the implementation and configuration of Odoo ERP system across finance and operational departments.
- Coordinate with ERP consultants to ensure proper setup of modules including:
- Accounting
- Procurement
- Inventory
- Project Management
- Sales & CRM
- Develop chart of accounts and cost centers suitable for project-based operations.
- Train internal teams on ERP usage and ensure successful adoption.
- Optimize ERP workflows for financial reporting, project costing, and procurement control.
4. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Provide financial insights to management to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
5. Compliance & Tax Management
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations including ZATCA VAT requirements.
- Manage VAT filing, tax reporting, and financial audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
6. Financial Controls & Internal Policies
- Establish and maintain internal financial control systems.
- Develop accounting policies and procedures aligned with company operations.
- Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
7. Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise the accounting team.
- Assign responsibilities and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Provide training and development to accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or SOCPA are preferred.
Experience
- 8 12 years of accounting experience, preferably in interior fit-out, construction, or contracting companies.
- Proven experience in project accounting and cost control.
- Strong experience in Odoo ERP implementation or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience working in the Saudi market.
