Role Overview:
Devmark is hiring a Senior Accountant to support our Finance function across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end activities.
This role is designed as a step-up opportunity for a currently hands-on accountant who is ready to take on broader ownership, deeper reporting responsibility, and greater involvement in month-end and control processes within a structured and growing organization.
Candidates with 1-3 years of UAE Real Estate experience, are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Accounts Payable reconciliations and monitor supplier payments
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and customer relationship management
- Prepare and post month-end journals and support timely month-end close
- Strong knowledge of VAT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
- Process and review daily payments and cash transactions
- Prepare management accounts and regular financial reports
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Provide ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as required
- Monitor and track payments against forecasts and projections
- Perform cost analysis for operational and targeted projects
- Supervise the preparation of accounting reports, including trial balance, monthly payment schedules, daily cash reports, and daily collection reports
- Validate financial data accuracy through ledger and account reconciliations
- Review and reconcile Accounts Receivable balances in the General Ledger, ensuring timely clearance of outstanding items and monthly AR close
- Prepare AR aging reports, provisions, and debtor aging analysis; reconcile AR cash collections to the GL and align differences with Salesforce data
- Review balance sheet schedules related to AR operations
- Develop, update, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures in line with the Finance Delegation of Authority Matrix
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, escalating issues and reporting resolutions where appropriate
- Apply AML (Anti-Money Laundering) awareness and compliance in all financial transactions (AML knowledge is an advantage)
- Assist in ensuring budget accuracy and compliance
- Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and professional integrity
Requirements:
- Currently working as an Accountant and ready for a broader, more senior scope
- ACCA, CMA, ACMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is essential
- Experience using Xero or Zoho books is essential
- Fluent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
