Senior Accountant Abu Dhabi (Full-Time, On-Site)
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting management with financial analysis. This role acts as a key contributor to month-end close, audits, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage budgeting processes and monitor budget performance
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and identify variances
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory standards, and internal policies
- Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors when required
- Provide financial insights to other departments to support operational decision-making
- Maintain and enhance accounting systems, tools, and processes
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting
- Thorough understanding of tax compliance and regulatory requirements
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial management tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Ability to collaborate effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
