What we are looking for:
We are seeking a talented and motivated experienced Senior Accountant to join our expanding team!
Key Responsibilities:
- As Senior Accountant, you will assume end-to-end ownership of the accounting and finance operations.
- Maintain the full accounting cycle for one or more entities: journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for multi-currency entities.
- Reconcile cash and multi-currency accounts; monitor daily cash and bank movements.
- Capable of preparing to investor performance reporting.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage external audit and tax processes: liaise with auditors/tax advisors, and prepare supporting schedules and documentation.
- Implement, maintain and improve accounting systems and processes (Oodoo, Excel/Google Sheets integrations).
- UAE VAT including registration, filing, reconciliation, and compliance
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies, and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS (as applicable) and regulatory requirements.
- Bank compliance documentation
- Account openings and banking facilities
- Accounts payable and receivable management
- Provide insights and ad-hoc analytical support to senior management.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in a senior or responsible accounting role
- Experience with Reconciliations and Dubai VAT
- Experience in Garage or Manufacturing preferred
