Job Description
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash, check, and credit card transactions, while maintaining organized invoice files.
- Assist in financial and tax audits and contribute to general ledger preparation.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Reconcile accounts with the general ledger and maintain financial reporting systems.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end monthly reporting package submission for a specific entity.
- Monitor compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Investigate and rectify errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
- Approve financial transactions within established limits, including intercompany transactions.
- Analyze financial data and prepare entries for general ledger accounts and cost centers.
- Distribute monthly comparison reports and cost center reports according to predefined schedules.
- Maintain and monitor the fixed assets system.
- Excel under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient and accurate settlement of receivable accounts.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (essential)
- CPA, CMA, and CA certificates.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- 3-5 years of accounting work experience, preferably in luxury retail and joint ventures.
- Experience in accounts receivable collection.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software packages, and SAP experience.
- Analytical mindset, excelling in both independent and team-oriented work environments.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
