Role Overview
Join our dynamic finance team as a Senior Accountant, where your expertise will be pivotal in supporting robust accounting processes. As part of our team in UAE - Dubai, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of critical financial operations, with a particular emphasis on Accounts Payable, VAT, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Process and book invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage vendor payments and perform comprehensive reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with internal and regulatory policies
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with the UAE VAT Tax system
- Utilize QuickBooks efficiently for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with internal and external audits as required
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to best practices within the team
Must have requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, with a focus on Accounts Payable (invoice booking, vendor payments, reconciliations)
- Advanced proficiency in using QuickBooks
- Thorough understanding of the UAE VAT Tax system
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate financial records
- Ability to ensure compliance with company and statutory regulations
Nice to have requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
- Experience with other accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Familiarity with IFRS or local UAE accounting standards
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
