About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Job Title to join Senior Accountant Treasury. The main duties and

responsibilities of this role:

Role Purpose:

The role holder is responsible for execution of all Treasury middle & back office operations which includes

  • Daily Bank Reconciliation Payment
  • Daily Bank Reconciliation Collection
  • Identification of Unidentified Collection
  • Multi system & ERP usage: YARDI ORACLE - AXS
  • Multi online Banking access: 8 banks
  • Accounting entrie Preparation
  • VAT
  • Cad Payment & reconciliation
  • Automated & Manual Reconciliation
  • Preparation & Submission of Daily activity report

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Verify and maintain book of accounts for bank payment and bank receipt entries, preparation of journal vouchers, debit / credit notes, cheques ensuring data accuracy.
  • Post financial entries periodically and manage data updates into the assigned system to facilitate efficient processing of transactions. Maintain records for all transactions for audit trail.

Recording and Reconciliation Daily and Monthly

  • Conduct reconciliation of all relevant sub & general ledger balances, reports and reconciliation as per defined standards of accounting internal policies to ensure correct balances are reflected in DHAM's books of accounts.
  • Ensure timely recording and reporting of all transactions on a daily basis.
  • Prepare reconciliation of bank transactions (Bank lines) against ERP recorded operations on a daily basis.
  • Support in the preparation of monthly Trial Balance reconciliation and send for review to the Assistant Manager Treasury.
  • Compare all transactions recorded in the ERP to ensure they are reflected in bank's physical transactions.
  • Support in conducting two-way bank transaction & ERP reconciliation on a monthly basis.
  • Manage the closing of accounts as per specified time scales and company's policies and procedures.

Reporting

  • Prepare various financial statistical reports for the Management to facilitate timely reconciliation of various designated accounts and keep them informed of the status.

Cash Pooling, Cash Sweep, Intercompany transfer

  • Ensure real time maintenance of calibrated cash position of DHAM and all its legal entities and business units.
  • Manage intercompany transfers as and directed by the Management.

Liquidity management / Cash Forecast / yield return maximization

  • Forecast company's cash flow to ensure liquidity is maintained within the company's periodic plans and make recommendations for the development of contingency funding plans as and when needed.
  • Ensure maximization of return on company's available cash and ensure that the cashbook and ledger are accurately updated on a regular basis.
  • Identify gaps in cash inflows and ensure that all chargeable cash revenue is collected, and all money is banked in due course.

Relationship Management - Banks

  • Support in maintaining relationships with banks and coordinate with them on regular Treasury operations such as bank account opening and closing, bank loans processing, hedging, settlements, bank account annual review, KYC requirements etc.

Electronic System Management

  • Maintain complete log of accounts opened and closed during the period.
  • Ensure online access for all company bank accounts.
  • Update and maintain bank records in the ERP and ensure accuracy of data.

Facility Management

  • Prepare payment schedules for different facilities deployed (Principal Interest Hedge).
  • Ensure proper accounting of the facility (accrual) and hedge instruments (IFRS documentation & accrual).

Audit Support

  • Assist auditors in completing audits as per the schedule by liasoning with other departments and providing them the requisite information. Support the implementation of action plans for audit findings to ensure that all the audit findings are worked on and successfully dealt with facilitating subsequent audits, if required

Continuous Improvement

  • Keep abreast of professional and technology developments, new tools and techniques, changes in regulation and other best practices.
  • Advice management of new ideas and solutions in the treasury environment.
  • Coordinate and prepare new project proposals and execute approved projects within the Treasury function.
  • Constantly evaluate and look for areas of improvement in back office operations to bring efficiency and effectiveness.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and

qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration / Finance / Banking / Treasury / Accounting or any related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with at least 2 years in corporate or bank middle back office functions handling treasury or accounting duties.
  • Experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analysis is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, ability to synchronize large amounts of data.
  • Knowledge of ERP accounting software.
  • Sound knowledge of Accounting standards.
  • Attention to detail, good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to comfortably work with others in a collaborative environment.
  • Proactive team player.

Competence in Microsoft Office suite with proficiency in MS Excel.
