Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Oversight:
- Monitor and analyze SAMA regulations, circulars, and updates to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct gap analysis between current company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance reporting is accurate and timely.
- Policy Governance:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies align with both local and international regulatory frameworks. Conduct periodic compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Financial Crime Risk Management:
- Implement strategies to mitigate risks related to anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF).
- Ensure due diligence processes are in place to prevent fraud and financial crimes. Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Legal Framework Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research on Saudi regulations and compare them with international standards.
- Provide recommendations on regulatory changes that impact the company's compliance framework.
- Leadership in Skill Development:
- Mentor and train team members on compliance-related topics, including financial regulations and risk management.
- Promote a culture of compliance awareness within the organization.
- Provide training in advanced communication, time management, and research skills.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAMA regulations, AML/CTF guidelines, and local legal requirements.
- Familiarity with Shari'ah-compliant financial practices.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and compliance management systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance (preferred) or Law.
Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance within the banking sector, with a focus on SAMA-regulated institutions.
Holding one or more of the following certifications is preferred:
- Compliance Foundations Professional Exam - Third Edition.
- Compliance for Financing Companies Sector Professional Exam.
- Saudi Capital Market Rules and Regulations - CME-1B.
- International Introduction to Securities and Investment - CME-1A.
- Global Financial Compliance - CME-2A.
- Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering - CME-2B.
- Financial Fraud Examiner Certificate.
- Professional Certificate for Certified Compliance Officer.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
