Job Purpose:
To design, develop, test, and support custom applications and enhancements within the Oracle ecosystem, ensuring ERP system stability, data accuracy, and alignment with business operations. The Oracle Developer will deliver scalable and maintainable solutions that support the manufacturing workflow and comply with internal IT standards and governance.
Job Requirement:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle-based applications using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, and other Oracle development tools.
- Translate business requirementsespecially those tied to manufacturing, inventory, and supply chaininto detailed technical solutions.
- Design and implement complex stored procedures, packages, triggers, and functions to automate business processes and ensure system efficiency.
- Support integration efforts between Oracle ERP and third-party platforms such as MES, logistics, and quality control systems.
- Participate in system upgrades, patch testing, and implementation rollouts to ensure system stability and compatibility.
- Collaborate with business analysts and functional consultants to enhance processes in procurement, production, finance, and inventory management.
- Develop and maintain reports using Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, and other relevant reporting tools.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all Oracle modules in use within the manufacturing environment.
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Provide end-user and internal team support by troubleshooting application issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and change logs for all developed solutions.
- Stay current with Oracle best practices, tools, and industry trends, especially those relevant to manufacturing operations.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Oracle Developer certification is a strong advantage.
Experience:
- 24 years of experience in Oracle application development and database programming.
- Proven experience in Oracle ERP environments, preferably in a mid to large-scale enterprise.
- Participation in at least one full ERP implementation or major upgrade.
- Solid track record of delivering stable and high-performance code in Oracle environments.
Technical competencies:
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, and Workflow Builder.
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 or Oracle Cloud Applications is a plus.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle development tools (Toad, SQL Developer, etc.).
- Familiarity with integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, Oracle SOA, or similar).
- Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and deployment methodologies.
- Understanding of performance optimization and query tuning in Oracle.
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.
