Position Overview
The Senior Application Engineeris responsible forunderstanding customer needs, evaluating technical requirements, and providing tailored engineering solutions through strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners. This role combines technicalexpertise, customer interaction, and project coordination to ensure that solutions move smoothly from concept to design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer & Requirements Analysis
- Evaluate customer needs by gathering detailed information about their products, applications, and facility requirements.
- Conduct site visits and technical assessmentsto fully understand operational challenges and opportunities.
2. Solution Development & Partner Coordination
- Identifythe most suitable partners or suppliers based on a strong understanding of company capabilities and customer needs.
- Match customer requirements with the right technical solution to ensureoptimalperformance and value.
3. Testing & Technical Evaluation
- Perform hands-on testing, validation, and evaluation of customer samples.
- Provide technical recommendations based on data, test results, and engineering insights.
4.CrossfunctionalCollaboration
- Work closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering groups to ensure full stakeholder alignment on proposed solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to ensure smooth project progression.
5. Proposal Development
- Prepare and deliver formal technical and commercial proposals.
- Clearly articulate the solution design, scope, performance expectations, and benefits.
6. Project Transition & Execution
- Transition approved solutions from concept/proposal to formal design and engineering stages.
- Support the manufacturing and engineering teams to ensureaccurateexecution of specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree inPetroleum & Mining EngineeringORChemicalEngineeringonly.These are the only acceptable majors for this role.
- Applicantsfrom the following fields should NOT apply:Civil Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,ElectricalEngineering,Mechatronics Engineering,Architectural Engineering,Electronics & Communications Engineering,Computer Engineering,Industrial Engineering
- Minimum2+ years of hands-on experience.
- Strong analytical andproblemsolvingabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholdermanagementskillsmanagementskills.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally asrequired.
Preferred Skills (optional to include)
- Experience working with industrial energy systems or oil & gas equipment.
- Familiarity with proposal writing and bid preparation.
- Strong project coordination or customer-facing experience.
