Job Description

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm based in Saudi Arabia. HCO employs a diverse range of architectural, engineering, planning, and consultancy professionals, allowing them to offer a one-stop solution for their clients project needs throughout the entire lifecycle. HCO works on a wide range of project types, including residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

We are seeking a Senior Architect in Al-Khobar with strong consultancy experience and solid knowledge of international building codes. The ideal candidate is creative, technically skilled, and capable of delivering well resolved design solutions across all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural concept development and prepare high-quality design options.
  • Develop efficient, functional, and creative space-planning layouts aligned with client requirements.
  • Produce comprehensive architectural drawings and presentations for concept, schematic, and detailed stages.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, MEP, landscape, interiors) to ensure cohesive design outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international codes (IBC, NFPA, SBC, ASHRAE, BS, etc.).
  • Participate in client meetings, design workshops, and coordination sessions.
  • Review drawings prepared by junior team members and ensure alignment with design intent.
  • Support the development of design guidelines, standards, and best practices within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 812 years of experience in reputable design consultancy environments.
  • Strong design sensibility with a portfolio showcasing concept design and space-planning work.
  • Relevant experience in industrial and logistics facilities, including planning and detailing of PEB structure is preferable.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
  • Thorough understanding of international building codes and standards (IBC, NFPA, SBC, BS, etc.).
  • Strong communication, visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver well-coordinated design solutions.
