We are seeking a highly skilled and DM-certified Senior Architect, preferably a UAE National, to lead design development for key projects in Dubai. This is an urgent role focused on unlocking pending authority submissions and alleviating DEQ quota blockages. The ideal candidate will have extensive UAE experience, proficiency in Revit, and a strong track record of delivering authority-compliant drawing packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Lead and support the design development phase for assigned projects, ensuring design intent is carried through to detailed drawings.
- Technical Production: Prepare, review, and finalize authority-ready drawings, tender packages, and detailed coordination sets.
- Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal multidisciplinary teams and external sub-consultants to resolve design clashes and close out technical issues.
- Compliance: Ensure all deliverables comply with Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations, local codes, and authority requirements.
- Submissions: Prepare documentation for authority submissions and support presentations to clients or governing bodies.
- Quality Assurance: Review Revit models and drawings to maintain high-quality standards and implement timely revisions as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: 710 years of relevant architectural experience.
- DM Certification (Mandatory): Must hold a valid DM DEQ certification (G+4 minimum) . Candidates with G+12 certification will be given preference.
- Urban Planning (Preferred): Holding a DEQ Urban Planning certification is a significant value-add. Priority will be given to candidates with this qualification (targeting 1 of the 2 positions), and it will be reflected in the final salary offer within the approved range.
- Membership: Active Society of Engineers (SoE) membership is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Revit and SketchUp is required.
- Regional Experience: Must have prior UAE experience with a strong understanding of local authority processes.
