Job Summary
The Senior Architectural Engineer Hospitality Specialist is responsible for leading the architectural design, coordination, and delivery of hospitality projects including hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, and mixed-use developments. The role ensures that projects meet international hospitality standards, brand guidelines, operational requirements, and local regulations while delivering high-quality guest experiences and efficient back-of-house operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design development for hospitality projects from concept to construction documentation.
- Ensure design solutions align with hotel brand standards and guest experience objectives.
- Coordinate with interior designers, landscape architects, and other consultants to achieve cohesive project design.
- Manage architectural deliverables throughout project phases (Concept, Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documentation).
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and specialist consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Participate in design review meetings with clients, hotel operators, and project stakeholders.
- Apply strong knowledge of hospitality planning including guest rooms, suites, public areas, F&B outlets, kitchens, spas, and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure efficient space planning, guest flow, and operational functionality.
- Integrate international hospitality brand requirements (e.g., luxury, upscale, lifestyle brands).
- Review and produce architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, local authority regulations, accessibility standards, and fire & life safety requirements.
- Conduct technical design reviews and resolve design conflicts.
- Provide architectural support during construction including reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and site inspections.
- Ensure design intent is maintained throughout project execution.
- Present design concepts and technical solutions to clients and hotel operators.
- Act as the architectural lead for hospitality-related design coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
- Professional registration or chartership is preferred.
- 1015 years of experience in architectural design.
- Minimum 5 years specifically in hospitality projects (hotels, resorts, luxury developments).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale hospitality projects from concept through construction.
