Job Description

We are looking to hire a Senior Associate Category Management who will be responsible for executing category management and strategic sourcing activities, including spend analysis, market intelligence, cost-benefit analysis, contract development, and supplier relationship management. This role is based in Dubai- which is one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable based on performance.

The role sits within the Procurement- Professional Services and reports directly to the Category Manager.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Associate Category Management to drive strategic sourcing and optimize procurement processes. You should also have experience in procurement within professional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established processes and protocols for category management and align activities with business stakeholders procurement requirements.
  • Execute strategic sourcing activities, addressing sourcing constraints, supply risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Conduct spend analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and cost-benefit/value studies to optimize procurement costs.
  • Perform market intelligence studies to identify procurement trends and risks, incorporating insights into strategy development.
  • Collaborate with suppliers throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support the Category Manager in supplier evaluation, project management, and governance of category strategies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field (CIPS/Project Management certifications are preferred).
  • 25 years of experience in procurement, category management, professional services, or strategic sourcing, preferably within shared services or the Middle East region.
  • Experience in procurement within the professional services category.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, supplier relationships, and procurement project management.
  • Proficiency in market intelligence, cost analysis, and supplier performance evaluation.
