Job Summary:
Venco Imtiaz Contracting Company (VICC) is seeking an experienced Senior Authority Architect to manage all authority approvals and regulatory coordination for high-rise building projects in Dubai. The role involves liaising with government authorities, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure that all architectural submissions, permits, and approvals comply with UAE regulations and project requirements.
The ideal candidate will ensure timely approvals, compliance with local regulations, and smooth coordination between design, construction, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage authority submissions and approvals for architectural works on high-rise building projects.
- Coordinate with Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Trakhees, Civil Defense (DCD), DEWA, RTA, and other relevant authorities for design approvals and permits.
- Prepare, review, and submit architectural drawings, documents, and NOCs required for authority approvals.
- Ensure all architectural designs and submissions comply with local building codes, authority regulations, and project specifications.
- Track and monitor the status of authority approvals, ensuring timely responses and resolving comments raised by authorities.
- Coordinate with consultants, design teams, and project managers to address authority comments and revise drawings where required.
- Manage approvals for building permits, NOCs, completion certificates, and occupancy permits.
- Support the project team in obtaining design approvals, construction permits, and final authority clearances.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of authority submissions, approvals, and correspondence.
- Provide guidance to internal teams regarding authority procedures, submission requirements, and compliance standards.
- Attend meetings with consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders to facilitate approvals and resolve regulatory issues.
- Ensure all authority-related processes are completed within project timelines and regulatory frameworks.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or architectural engineering.
- Minimum 1015 years of experience, including extensive UAE experience in authority coordination.
- Proven experience working on high-rise building projects in Dubai with main contracting.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai building regulations and authority approval procedures.
- Experience coordinating with DM, DDA, Trakhees, Dubai Civil Defense, DEWA, and other authorities.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, architectural detailing, and project approval processes.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
