Job purpose:

The purpose of this role is to build automated test cases, ensure implementation and maintenance of automation framework and provide technical guidance to Mid and Jr. testers within the squads to ensure testing coverage and delivery of high quality across Geidea Egypt

Key accountabilities:

  • Define automation testing scope across squads
  • Full automation of applicable test cases in scope
  • PR review and approval
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts
  • Analyse test results and resolve findings
  • Review automated scripts created by Mid and Jr. Testers
  • Report defects
  • Work with the Automation lead to ensure maintenance of existing automation framework
  • Ensure accuracy of testing estimates within the assigned squads for automation activities

Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience, with minimum of 2 hands on experience in automation
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or computer Science is preferred
  • Experience in using Jira, Postman, swagger, JMeter, mobile testing tools is mandatory
  • Experience in programming is a must
  • Frontend, backend testing knowledge is a must
  • Experience in Automation tools is mandatory
  • Extensive hands on experience in Automation testing
  • Good Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Familiar with agile methodology
  • Fin-tech background is preferred
