What This Role Is About

Our client is looking for a Senior Backend Developer, based in Riyadh, to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that power high-performance applications.

You will be responsible for developing robust APIs, optimizing system architecture, and ensuring high availability and performance across backend services.

This role requires a hands-on developer who can contribute to architectural decisions, write clean and efficient code, and collaborate closely with product and frontend teams.

You will play a key role in building scalable solutions, improving system reliability, and driving technical excellence within the engineering team.

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Java (mandatory).
• Solid experience in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration.
• Experience with databases, performance optimization, and system security best practices.
• Experience working in a start-up environment is highly preferable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
