In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining backend services, primarily using Go, while leveraging your strong background in Ruby, Python, or PHP. Accountabilities
- Build and maintain backend services written in Go
- Design and evolve clean, well-documented APIs
- Own services end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring
- Work on high-throughput, revenue-critical workflows
- Collaborate closely with frontend, data, and product partners
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and retrospectives
- Ramp into Go with support, feedback, and real ownership
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Strong experience in Ruby, Python, or PHP
- Track record of owning production systems
- Solid understanding of databases, schemas, and migrations
- Interest in learning Go and systems-level concepts
- Pragmatic approach to architecture and tradeoffs
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
