Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, understanding their needs and translating them into clear and concise deliverables.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and meetings to elicit, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Analyze and document current state processes, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business domain, including industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and manage requirements documentation, such as user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications, ensuring they are complete, unambiguous, and traceable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and facilitate successful project delivery.
- Facilitate requirements prioritization and negotiate requirements trade-offs, balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and project constraints.
- Conduct impact analysis and assess the risks and implications of proposed changes, providing recommendations and mitigating strategies.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the testing phase by reviewing test plans and test cases, ensuring they cover all relevant requirements and user scenarios.
- Assist with the user acceptance testing (UAT) process, coordinating with business stakeholders to validate the implemented solution against the defined requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to junior business analysts, sharing knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and business analysis methodologies, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, offering recommendations and insights to drive business value and achieve project objectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis processes and methodologies, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in project planning and estimation activities, providing input on effort and resource allocation based on the complexity and scope of requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, building trust and credibility to ensure the successful delivery of business solutions.
