HTCO is a multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy providing design, supervision, and project management services across all disciplines. We are seeking a highly qualified Business Development Engineer to join our team.

Role Summary
The Business Development Engineer will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting proposal development, and contributing to the company's growth strategy across multiple engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with clients, developers, government entities, and contractors.
- Build and maintain a strong network and long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Lead the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals (EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, tenders) in coordination with technical teams.
- Develop winning strategies for bids including market positioning, value proposition, and partner selection.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and pipeline forecasting; report regularly on BD activities and KPIs.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines (Civil, Architectural, Structural, MEP, Project Management, QS) to ensure proposal accuracy and compliance.
- Support contract negotiations, clarifications, and client presentations.
- Maintain CRM records, track leads, and manage the full business development cycle from lead generation to contract award.
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Sc. in Engineering (Architectural or Civil)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development / Pre-Contract / Tendering within the engineering or construction sector.
- Mandatory: Proven experience working in Engineering Consulting Firms (Design / Supervision / PMC) as part of career history.
- Strong understanding of consultancy services, tendering processes, and contract commercial frameworks.
- Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; CRM experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Experience in [Buildings / Infrastructure / Industrial / Mixed-use] projects.
- Existing client network and proven track record of successful bid wins.
