Role Overview

As a Senior Business Development Manager at Payfuture, you'll be at the forefront of our fast-paced, dynamic environment, driving strategic growth across global markets with a strong focus on expanding the Russian payments corridor. We're not your typical corporate structure, so we need someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in a scale-up environment. You'll be the face of Payfuture, working alongside a lean, agile Sales team as a senior commercial leader and primary point of contact for enterprise merchants, strategic partners, and payment ecosystem stakeholders eager to work with us.

Your role will focus on identifying, securing, and scaling high-value business opportunities while fostering strong, lasting relationships with enterprise prospects and partners. You'll play a critical role in expanding Payfuture's presence across Russia-related payment flows, enabling seamless inbound and outbound transactions between Russia and key global markets. In addition, you'll manage and grow strategic accounts, unlock new revenue streams, and ensure clients receive tailored, innovative cross-border payment solutions that support international expansion.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience selling cross-border payment solutions with strong exposure to Russian payment ecosystems, alongside South East Asia and North Africa, including key markets such as India, Pakistan, and Egypt. Experience working closely with Russian PSPs, digital wallets, remittance companies, international payroll providers, digital banks, and global merchants is essential to support efficient inbound and outbound payment flows. A deep understanding of regional payment corridors, regulatory environments, Russian payment infrastructure, and the commercial needs of global fintech clients is required. Russian language proficiency is essential to successfully engage partners and merchants across Russia and CIS markets.

Requirements

Manage relationships with key enterprise clients, focusing on closing complex, high-value deals with strategically important merchants across multiple sectors, with emphasis on Russia-related payment corridors.

Drive client acquisition, revenue growth, and retention in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment while leading expansion into Russia cross-border payment opportunities.

Build strong relationships with new merchants and strategic partners, positioning Payfuture as a trusted partner and thought leader in global and Russia-focused payments.

Identify cross- and up-selling opportunities to deliver additional value to clients and generate increased revenue for Payfuture across international payment flows.

Take full ownership of the sales cycle, from initial contact through solution structuring and negotiating commercial and contractual terms, before handing over to the Account Management team.

Support the Head of Sales in closing major enterprise deals and forming partnerships with payment gateways, Russian payment providers, e-commerce platforms, and ecosystem partners, while leading the development of new strategic partnerships.

Analyse data trends and client performance to develop strategic sales plans, deliver impactful executive-level sales pitches, and secure new business opportunities aligned with Russia corridor growth.

Set evaluation criteria and KPIs for portfolio growth while driving business development process improvements in collaboration with the Sales Leadership team.

Attend meetings with prospective clients and partners, represent Payfuture at trade events across global and Russia-focused fintech ecosystems, and proactively seek new business prospects to promote Payfuture's suite of products and services.

Hold a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant fields with 58+ years of work experience gained in Payments, Fintech, E-commerce, or Banking industries.

You are knowledgeable of global payment processes and have worked with payment processors or cross-border payment companies

Have a proven track record of prospecting enterprise clients, building and managing strategic pipelines, and successfully closing complex cross-border payment partnerships

Own a strong and growing professional network within the global Payments ecosystem, particularly across Russia and CIS markets.

You have experience selling solutions to CxOs by relying heavily on need discovery and solution-led selling

Are fluent in Russian and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills enabling engagement with Russian partners, merchants, and executive stakeholders

Possess a demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive and C-Suite leadership

Payfuture offers uncapped OTE with a 3-year waterfall commission structure
