Job Description

We are working with an innovative organisation in the payments and financial technology sector that is looking to hire an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join their Dubai-based team.This role focuses on identifying new commercial opportunities, building strong industry relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and tailored payment solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence, developing partnerships across the payments ecosystem, and contributing to overall commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across merchants, payment service providers, banks, and fintech partners
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation through to deal closure
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for advanced payment technology solutions
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships within the global payments ecosystem
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing discussions and contract agreements
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, compliance, and operations teams to deliver tailored client solutions
  • Represent the organisation at industry conferences, networking events, and trade forums
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts
  • Maintain strong awareness of regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations within the payments industry
  • Stay informed on emerging trends such as open banking, alternative payment methods (APMs), and cross-border payments

Requirements

  • Strong background in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, and Account Management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to conduct market research and data analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Solid understanding of payment processing, digital payment solutions, and fintech trends
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
  • Ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline (MBA or equivalent is advantageous)
  • Prior experience within the payments, fintech, or financial services sector is highly desirable
