Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and grow a portfolio of corporate clients across Employee Benefits and Group Medical Insurance.
- Leverage an existing network and transferable book of business to generate new opportunities and expand Nexus corporate client portfolio.
- Develop and execute business development strategies targeting multinational, government-related, oil & gas and other large corporate accounts.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, HR leaders, procurement teams and other corporate stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic relationship manager for assigned clients, ensuring consistently high levels of service, engagement and retention.
- Conduct detailed client needs assessments and develop tailored Employee Benefits solutions, including Group Medical, Group Life and related employee benefit covers.
- Work closely with insurers, underwriters and relevant stakeholders to negotiate competitive terms, pricing, coverage and service arrangements.
- Lead and manage the full renewal cycle, including market benchmarking, remarketing, insurer negotiations and placement.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling across Nexus wider insurance and employee benefits portfolio.
- Liaise with insurers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to address and resolve escalated claims, service and operational issues.
- Stay informed on developments within the UAE health insurance and Employee Benefits market and provide clients with relevant market insight.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular updates on business development activity, opportunities and portfolio performance.
- Ensure all business activities are conducted in accordance with applicable UAE insurance regulations, regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
- Contribute to the continued growth, development and positioning of Nexus Employee Benefits proposition in the Abu Dhabi market.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a commercially driven Employee Benefits professional who combines strong technical knowledge with established corporate relationships and a consultative approach to business development.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 5–10+ years of experience in Employee Benefits, Group Medical Insurance or corporate insurance broking.
- Strong understanding of the UAE health insurance and Employee Benefits market.
- Practical knowledge of Group Medical and Employee Benefits solution design, placement and renewal.
- An existing, transferable book of corporate Employee Benefits / Group Health business.
- Established relationships and experience working with multinational, government-related and/or oil & gas sector organisations.
- Experience working with a leading regional, international or independent insurance broker.
- Professional insurance qualifications such as CII, ADII or equivalent would be advantageous.
