This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer. In this role, you will be instrumental in modernizing reporting processes by migrating legacy reports to advanced data platforms. Your expertise will guide the transition to Power BI, enhancing reporting functionalities and optimizing performance. You will engage in analyzing existing datasets, validating data accuracy, and designing effective data models. This role is crucial in ensuring our partner's data analytics capabilities are robust and reliable.
Accountabilities
- Migrate SSRS reports to Power BI and/or Paginated Reports
- Rebuild datasets and reporting logic against new data sources
- Validate data accuracy using T-SQL and source system queries
- Design and optimize Power BI data models and relationships
- Develop complex DAX measures and calculations
- Perform data shaping and transformations using Power Query (M)
- Tune model and report performance for large datasets
- Replicate or enhance existing reporting functionality
Requirements
- 5+ years Power BI development experience
- Strong SSRS to Power BI / Paginated migration experience
- Experience transitioning reports to new data sources
- Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Advanced knowledge of DAX for measures and calculations
- Proficiency in T-SQL for query validation and analysis
- Expertise in Power Query (M) for data transformation
- Strong understanding of data modeling and performance optimization
