An IT Senior Buyer plays a critical role in procuring technology-related goods, services, and equipment for an organization's IT operations. They ensure that the right technology solutions are acquired efficiently to support the organization's goals.
Responsibilities:
1.Running RFP/RFQ, Vendor Selection and Negotiation:
- Research and evaluate potential vendors based on factors such as product quality, service required
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals, and KPI's of Agthia.
- Should be able to run at least 5 to 6 RFP/RFQ at same time
- Should be able to run the RFP/RFQ on own with minimum supervision and work on the aggressive timelines
2. AMC and Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
- Ensure timely renewals are done by working aligning with Stakeholders
3. Procurement Process:
- Process requisitions from various departments for IT-related purchases.
- Update management on the status of orders and delivery timelines.
4. Technology Trends and Market Awareness:
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Understand how new solutions can enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
5. Risk Assessment and Compliance:
- Assess risks related to technology purchases (e.g., compatibility, security, legal compliance).
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT teams, department heads, and stakeholders to determine procurement needs.
- Align technology purchases with organizational goals.
7. Understanding of ERP
- Should have understanding different types of licenses and modules of SAP
