Job Summary
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to manage and operate our Microsoft Azure environment, with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) as a core service. The role covers cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, automation, security governance, and monitoring, while working closely with security and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate Azure cloud infrastructure and landing zones
- Own and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), including:
- Host pools, session hosts, application publishing
- FSLogix profile management and performance troubleshooting
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID, including:
- Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection
- Guest and external user lifecycle
- Support application teams with:
- App registrations
- SSO, SAML, OAuth/OpenID integrations
- Design and maintain cloud automation, including:
- Inactive users and stale devices handling
- VM maintenance and update workflows
- Automated access and guest onboarding processes
- Manage external/customer Azure tenants securely
- Own monitoring and logging, including:
- Log Analytics workspaces
- Event Hub integration with third-party SIEM platforms
- Govern Microsoft 365 services to ensure security and compliance
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Proven experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and identity integrations
- Experience with PowerShell and Azure automation
- Good understanding of cloud security, governance, and best practices
