Job Description
We're Hiring: Senior Cloudera Hadoop Administrator | Remote
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloudera Hadoop Administrator to manage, optimize, and maintain large-scale on-premises Big Data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Cloudera CDH/CDP, Hadoop ecosystem technologies, Linux administration, and automation.

- Shift Timing: 7:30 PM – 4:30 AM IST
- Role: Senior Cloudera Hadoop Administrator
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Cloudera CDH/CDP 7.x clusters in on-premises environments.
- Lead cluster upgrades, CDH-to-CDP migrations, node management, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Spark, HBase, and Kafka.
- Automate cluster operations, patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance using Python/Bash.
- Manage Linux servers, performance tuning, cluster security, and disaster recovery.
- Implement security and governance using Kerberos, LDAP/AD, TLS, and Apache Ranger.
- Drive incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Cloudera CDH and CDP 7.x
Expertise in Hadoop ecosystem technologies: HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Spark, HBase, Kafka, and ZooKeeper
Strong Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS)
Scripting and automation using Python or Bash
Experience with cluster upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and large-scale on-prem infrastructure
Knowledge of Hadoop security, monitoring, and disaster recovery
Good to Have: Ansible, Cloudera Manager APIs, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, Git, and CDP Private Cloud Base.
