The project:
Mace has been appointed to partner on a new project focusing on the events industry in the Kingdom and build cutting-edge venues to host world-class events in the culture, entertainment, tourism, and sports sectors. Venues will include indoor arenas, art galleries, theatre's, and conference centres, horse-racing tracks, and motor racing tracks.
We are seeking a senior commercial consultancy manager to work as part of the project team, providing expertise across contracts, commercial strategy, cost management, and procurement. This role requires a proactive professional who can collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring robust commercial and cost control and delivering value-driven solutions for our clients.
You'll be responsible for:
Act as the commercial expert within the project team, managing contracts from inception to close-out.
Develop procurement strategies and execution, including tendering processes, supplier negotiations, and contract awards, ensuring compliance and value for money.
Manage cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with client objectives and contractual obligations.
Prepare and review contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses for formal execution.
Provide strategic commercial advice to clients and internal teams, mitigating risks and ensuring contractual integrity.
Lead change management processes, including cost and time impact assessments.
Champion best practices in commercial.
You'll need to have:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or equivalent.
Professional membership (MRICS/RICS) or working towards.
Proven experience in contract management, commercial strategy, cost control, and leading procurement.
Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contractual frameworks, and risk management.
Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
