Job Summary
We're hiring a Senior Content Creator to own the full content creation cyclefrom ideation and scripting to shooting (mobile-first), editing, and delivering platform-ready videos. You'll create consistent, high-performing short-form content and maintain an organized content library. This role is hands-on and execution-heavy, designed for someone who can independently produce content while collaborating with the social team for calendars, campaigns, and brand direction.
Key Responsibilities
1) Ideation & Content Planning
- Generate weekly content ideas aligned with brand goals, audience interests, and platform trends.
- Convert ideas into clear concepts: hooks, scripts/talking points, shot lists, and production needs.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on calendars, campaigns, and priorities.
2) Shooting & On-Set Execution (Mobile-First)
- Film short-form content using a smartphone, with strong attention to lighting, framing, audio, and pacing.
- Direct scenes when needed (talent guidance, product handling, locations, timing).
- Create a repeatable setup for fast production (templates, angles, recurring series formats).
3) Editing & Post-Production
- Edit videos into platform-native formats (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), including captions/subtitles, cuts, transitions, and sound.
- Ensure edits match brand tone while staying optimized for performance (first 3 seconds, retention, CTA).
- Produce multiple versions/iterations when needed (different hooks, lengths, thumbnails, caption styles).
4) Trend & Platform Optimization
- Stay on top of platform trends and adapt them into brand-safe content.
- Optimize content for discoverability: titles, captions, hashtags/keywords, and recommended posting formats.
- Bring proactive recommendations to improve content performance based on what's working.
5) Content Library & Asset Management
- Maintain a clean content archive: raw footage, edited outputs, templates, thumbnails, captions, and project files.
- Organize assets by date, theme, campaign, and platform for easy reuse and repurposing.
- Create repurpose packs from raw footage (multiple cuts, hooks, and formats).
6) Collaboration & Quality Control
- Work with design/brand teams when creative support is required (key visuals, overlays, packaging shots).
- Follow brand guidelines (tone, visual rules, messaging do/don't).
- Coordinate approvals and ensure deliverables are on time and complete.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a content creator/video creator with a strong short-form portfolio.
- Ability to handle the full workflow: ideation script shoot (mobile) edit final deliverables.
- Strong editing skills using mobile/desktop tools (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Reels/TikTok/Shorts best practices (hooks, pacing, retention, platform-native feel).
- Strong organization skills for managing footage, drafts, versions, and archives.
- Comfortable working independently with tight deadlines and frequent output.
- On-camera confidence or experience directing talent.
- Copywriting skills for short captions and CTA phrasing.
- Basic motion graphics skills (simple overlays, text animation).
- Experience working with performance teams to iterate content based on results.
