Senior Contracts Manager
About the Role
A leading offshore EPCi contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join their Legal team, leading pre and post-contract management for major construction and EPC projects. This is a strategic role that combines legal expertise with commercial acumen to drive successful project delivery while managing business risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contractual, legal, and commercial matters for major construction and EPC projects from tender through execution
- Draft, review, and negotiate client contracts, JV agreements, MOUs, and commercial agreements
- Assess contract risks and opportunities at tender stage, advising senior management on obligations, liabilities, and mitigation strategies
- Review and align subcontractor and vendor agreements with main contract terms and conditions
- Manage dispute resolution, EOT claims, and acceleration submissions
- Ensure contract compliance and coordinate across Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Project teams
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned implementation
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field (Engineering degree with contract management certification is a plus)
- 12-15 years of relevant experience as a Contracts Manager in Oil & Gas or Offshore industry
- Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to establish and administer complex contracts
- Excellent stakeholder management across multiple disciplines
- High attention to detail with analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate technical contractual matters to non-specialists
- Willingness to travel as required for site visits
