Job Description

The Senior Contract/Procurement Engineer plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle across projects, ensuring the delivery of best value while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards. The role involves leading tendering activities, evaluating commercial and contractual aspects, and supporting project teams through effective contract administration. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive efficient procurement strategies, mitigate risks, and contribute to the successful execution of projects in line with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage tender documentation (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) for contractors, consultants, and suppliers
  • Lead tendering process: floating, clarifications, bid analysis, and recommendations
  • Conduct commercial and contractual evaluations of bids
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
  • Manage vendor prequalification and maintain approved supplier database
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to align on the procurement strategies
  • Monitor contract administration works, variations, claims, and change orders
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies.
  • Track procurement schedules aligned with project master program

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • 67 years of experience in contract/procurement within tier 1 real estate developers/contractor in Egypt
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Architecture, or relevant discipline)
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and Egyptian construction practices
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with mixed-use or large-scale developments in Egypt
  • Membership or progress toward RICS is a plus
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent contract drafting and interpretation abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and procurement/reporting tools
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies and materials
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
