The Project

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

You'll Be Responsible For

  • Prepares and administers construction contracts, including documents, warranties, bonds, licenses, variations, valuations, and certification through to final accounts and completion.
  • Provides advice on contract terms, execution, practical completion, defects completion, and compliance with submission and approval requirements.
  • Measures, values, and agrees work progress, variations, and contractor payments in line with contractual provisions.
  • Maintains rigorous cost control, identifying and managing all costs arising from design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.
  • Prepares accurate financial reports for clients, issued in the required format and frequency.
  • Participates in the assessment of contractor and subcontractor claims for delay and additional costs, providing balanced commercial advice.
  • Leads and manages a team, driving performance, technical development, coaching, and continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Manages internal and external stakeholders collaboratively, supporting net zero carbon objectives through proactive identification and management of emissions and reductions.

You'll Need To Have

  • Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
  • Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Developed commercial and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
  • Developing experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders.
