Senior Cost Control (AR Officer)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cost Control Officer with strong commercial expertise to join our Cairo back-office team. The role will oversee cost management processes, lead invoicing operations with clients, and support commercial activities across FM and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate should bring proven experience in cost control within the FM/maintenance sector, with strong analytical skills and the ability to drive financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cost control activities across multiple FM and maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and forecasts.

• Review, validate, and approve project financial reports, cost analysis, and forecasting.

• Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate client invoices in coordination with project managers and finance.

• Monitor variations, contract amendments, and commercial claims, ensuring proper documentation.

• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier invoices for compliance with contracts and budgets.

• Develop and implement cost control procedures and reporting tools to improve financial tracking.

• Advise management on cost deviations, risks, and corrective measures.

• Support commercial negotiations and contribute to strategic financial planning.

• Mentor and guide junior staff within the cost control and commercial functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.

• 3–5 years of proven experience in cost control and commercial support, with experience in Facility Management, maintenance or Construction projects.

• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis.

• Demonstrated experience in client invoice preparation and contract cost control
