Key Responsibilities
- Analyze tender budgets and develop initial project budgets aligned with cost breakdown structures (CBS).
- Map Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for accurate cost allocation.
- Monitor and track direct and indirect project costs against approved budgets.
- Prepare cost control reports, forecasts, and variance analyses (EAC / ETC).
- Identify potential budget overruns and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Conduct budget vs. actual analysis and support corrective actions to minimize financial risks.
- Review and validate purchase requests and commitments to control project spending.
- Support change management, cost claims, and scope variation budgets.
- Develop and track KPIs for cost, revenue, invoicing, and project cash flow.
- Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and project teams to optimize costs and ensure financial alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 812 years of experience in cost control, with at least 5 years in EPC water or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of project cost control concepts (COGS, accruals, commitments, revenue recognition).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PMP are an advantage.
