Position: Senior Cost Control Engineer
Main Purpose:
A Senior Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the cost control process for our projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and on time. This is a full-time, permanent position with excellent opportunities for growth and development within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost control processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely tracking of project costs
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying any potential cost overruns and providing recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Prepare and review project cost reports and provide regular updates to project managers and senior management
- Develop, implement, feed, reconcile, and maintain valuable project control databases and reports for projects.
- Develop various cost estimates levels for various projects.
- Taking off quantities from drawings and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Analyze project data and develop detailed cost estimates.
- Review and approve invoices and POs verification for payment based on cost-loaded schedules.
- Produce forecasts schedules on regular basis.
- Conduct cost analysis, cost control, and monitoring of the budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide guidance on cost management best practices.
- Perform any additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the real estate or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, practices, and techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other cost control software
- Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera or MS Project
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional certification in cost control or project management is an asset
