Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer to lead cost planning, monitoring, and reporting across large-scale landscape and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role will play a key part in ensuring financial efficiency, budget compliance, and proactive cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
  • Establish cost baselines aligned with project scope and contractual requirements
  • Support tendering teams with cost data, benchmarking, and historical analysis
  • Track project costs against budget and identify variances
  • Prepare periodic cost reports, including earned value analysis (EVA)
  • Monitor commitments, expenditures, and forecast final project costs
  • Support contract administration, including variations, claims, and change orders
  • Evaluate subcontractor payments and progress valuations
  • Assist in cost impact assessments for design changes and site conditions
  • Prepare detailed cost reports for internal management and clients
  • Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, and procurement teams
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project costs
  • Identify cost risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Participate in value engineering initiatives to improve cost efficiency
  • Ensure cost control processes align with project objectives and timelines

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
  • 8–12 years of experience in cost control within construction projects
  • Proven experience in landscape, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects in Saudi Arabia
  • Strong knowledge of cost control systems, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Familiarity with contracts (FIDIC preferred) and commercial practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and cost control/reporting tools (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working on major projects (e.g., ROSHN, NHC, Qiddiya, or similar giga-projects)
  • Background in contractor or EPC environments
  • Experience managing high-value projects (100M+ SAR)
