Job Title:Senior Cost Control Engineer.
Sector/Business Line: ElSewedy Electric T&D.
Scope: Transmission & Distribution.
Department: Project Controls.
Accountabilities
- Lead preparation and maintenance of project budgets, cost baselines, and forecasts.
- Monitor actuals, commitments, accruals, progress, and compare against budget.
- Conduct variance, trend, and performance analysis to identify deviations.
- Prepare senior‑level cost reports, dashboards, and cash flow projections.
- Review and validate change requests, claims, and variations from a cost perspective.
- Support Project Managers with financial insights, risks, and corrective actions.
- Ensure alignment between cost control, planning, procurement, and contracts.
- Mentor and oversee junior cost engineers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain strong cost governance and ensure adherence to project control standards.
Direct Manager: Cost Control Section Head.
Education Background.
- 5-7 years of experience in cost control for EPC, construction, Power, or industrial projects.
- Strong background in managing large‑scale, multi‑discipline projects.
- Experience collaborating with Project Managers, PMO, Finance, Planning, and Procurement.
- Proven record of leading cost control cycles, reporting, and forecasting activities.
Technical Skills required.
- Expert in budget preparation, cost baselines, CBS development.
- Strong in forecasting, cash flow analysis, variance analysis, EVM, and trend analysis.
- Advanced Excel modelling and data analytics skills.
- Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Skilled in Power BI for dashboards and reporting.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 for linking schedule and cost.
- Ability to provide management‑level insights and financial interpretations.
