Job Summary:
CDHorizon is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Credit Manager to lead and manage the company's credit control function across the UAE. The role is responsible for developing and implementing robust credit policies, minimizing credit risk exposure, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring timely collections while supporting business growth in the heavy equipment rental sector. Ideal candidate will have strong B2B credit management experience within construction, equipment rental, or related industries in the UAE market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor credit control policies and procedures aligned with company objectives and UAE market practices.
- Assess and approve customer credit limits based on financial analysis, risk evaluation, and industry exposure.
- Oversee accounts receivable, collections, aging reports, and dispute resolution processes.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of contractors, EPC companies, oil & gas clients, and infrastructure customers.
- Monitor exposure limits for high-value rental contracts and long-term projects.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to balance risk management with commercial growth.
- Lead negotiations on payment terms, bank guarantees, letters of credit (LC), and other security instruments.
- Manage legal escalation processes for overdue accounts in coordination with legal advisors.
- Prepare periodic credit risk reports and present insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with UAE commercial laws, contractual frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the credit control team to improve efficiency and performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 812 years of experience in credit management, preferably within heavy equipment rental, construction, or industrial services in the UAE.
- Strong understanding of UAE payment practices, contractor risk profiling, and project-based billing structures.
- Experience handling high-value corporate accounts and government-related entities.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools
